The United Kingdom based solo general partner fund Andrena Ventures is looking to invest in second-generation startups at the pre-seed and seed stages and is raising $12 million from a variety of backers that include venture capitals and entrepreneurs alike.
According to TechCrunch, the company has already made it’s first investment, funding AI startup Nustom which was co-founded by Jonas Templestein. While the startup has not officially launched, it already has an impressive list of investors such as OpenAI, Balaji Srinivasan, Garry Tan, Naval Ravikant among others.
Typically, Andrena Ventures invests between $100,000 and $400,000 to rounds that will be led by others, but the company is hoping that their network will make it easier for founders to raise Series A rounds.
Andrena Ventures general partner, Gideon Valkin says that he will find talent that have roots in European and British fintech and envisions that their portfolio companies will focus on other areas such as AI, B2B enterprise solutions, and even climate tech.
