FAA Inspection Finds Boeing Violating Manufacturing Quality Control Standards

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said on March 4 that an inspection of 737 Max production at Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems found multiple failures to meet quality standards in manufacturing.

The FAA found deficiencies in Boeing’s manufacturing process controls and in the handling and storage of parts. The agency provided a summary of the six-week audit of Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems but did not release it because Boeing is still under investigation.
